Hope Madagascar is a campaign dedicated to providing essential maternal healthcare to underserved communities in Madagascar. Through this campaign, GFoundation partnered with a dedicated team of medical professionals to deliver life-saving care to expecting mothers in Madagascar, where access to medical services remains critically limited.
Our dedicated medical partners, Dr. Adams, Dr. Bond, and two additional physicians, traveled to Madagascar with 20 donated portable ultrasound machines, joining Dr. Lee, who has been faithfully serving the local community for decades, and the Well International team.
For years, Dr. Lee and Well International have been providing medical care to remote regions in Madagascar, working to ensure that communities with limited healthcare access receive the treatment they need. This mission was also closely aligned with the ongoing D4Ds (Doctors for Doctorless) program, a collaborative initiative led by Dr. Lee in partnership with the government and national health service.
Additionally, a pre-planned medical trip from Korea, consisting of 14 physicians, nurses, and pastors, took place simultaneously. This team carried out a primary care mission and provided treatment to 1,650 patients, further enhancing the overall impact of the mission.
Our team’s primary role was to equip the D4Ds with diagnostic ultrasound equipment and to support the Korean medical team’s ongoing efforts. Over the course of six days, we provided two days of medical training for local staff and four days of hands-on care to further train twenty D4Ds in ultrasound and specialized OB/GYN surgery.
