This autumn, Gfoundation took part in the ‘Walk with Refugees’ event hosted by Pilgrim Mission Church in New Jersey. The purpose of this event was to raise funds through a sponsored walk to support refugees in need.
With the beautiful fall leaves all around us, we walked side by side, raising support for refugees going through tough times. Every step reminded us just how much we can accomplish when we come together.
Our ongoing commitment extends to supporting refugee communities in Syracuse New Jersey, Dayton Ohio, and Louisville Kentucky.
At this event, Gfoundation organized an activity that invited children and adults to understand the journey of refugees in a deeply personal way. Through stories and case studies, participants learned about the strength and courage refugees have shown. Then, they expressed their encouragement through handwritten letters and drawings, folding each message into small paper boats. These boats were placed on a beautiful ocean painting, creating a hopeful scene—an ocean filled with boats carrying messages of kindness and support.
The warmth of this act does not end here. As part of our ongoing support, these paper boats will be thoughtfully included with the sanitary products we send to refugee women. We hope each carefully wrapped boat brings a message of comfort and reminds them they’re not alone.
As we continue this journey, we look forward to sharing the updates as these boats, carrying messages of hope and love, reach refugee communities.
Thank you for walking with us and for bringing warmth and care to those who need it most.
Your gift helps refugee families stay warm, safe, and supported as they adjust to life in a new community.
