This July, the Louisville Refugee Youth Summer Camp returned for its third annual year—a four-day program that welcomed over 100 students, including 70 boys and 30 girls from across African nations and refugee communities worldwide.

Organized by our local partner, Choedae Community Church, the camp became a joyful, faith-filled gathering where youth could grow, connect, and play—through spirited soccer clinics, uplifting group worship, and games that sparked new friendships.

Many of these youth face emotional and social challenges alongside the daily hardships of refugee life in the U.S.—a key reason why so many are drawn to this camp each year. In response, Gfoundation provided feminine hygiene products and custom camp t-shirts, simple yet practical and thoughtful items that offered each camper a sense of dignity, comfort, and belonging.

For adolescent girls, these products were especially vital. As part of the camp’s program, basic sexual and reproductive health education was also provided. This equipped the young campers to feel more informed, confident, and empowered in a safe, age-appropriate setting.

These special moments of care—both practical and personal—are made possible because of you.

To our supporters: thank you. Your generosity continues to plant seeds of hope, healing, and community. As we look ahead, we remain steadfast in our commitment to walk alongside refugee families and individuals through people-first outreach.
