Global Collaboration in Action:
Gfoundation at the 2026 UN ECOSOC Partnership Forum
On January 27th , 2026, staff from Gfoundation U.S. and Korea attended the UN ECOSOC Partnership Forum, a major annual convening hosted by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
Engaging Global Partners at the United Nations
The ECOSOC Partnership Forum serves as a key, inclusive platform for dialogue and collaboration, bringing together diverse stakeholders in support of sustainable development and inclusive global progress.
Participants include UN Member States, NGOs, local governments, private-sector leaders, civil society organizations, UN agencies, academic institutions, and youth representatives.
This open and participatory format creates space for transparency, shared learning, and collective problem-solving aimed at advancing peace and prosperity worldwide.
Gfoundation’s Role as an ECOSOC-Accredited NGO
Gfoundation participated in the Forum as an NGO holding ECOSOC Special Consultative Status—a designation we have maintained since Fall 2021. This status enables us to engage directly in UN spaces, contribute to important policy discussions, draft working papers, and build networks with other NGOs and partners from around the world.
Advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
Forum sessions on advancing the UN’s 2030 Agenda for the 17 Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs), with particular emphasis on:
- SDG 6: Ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
- SDG 7: Ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all
- SDG 11: Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable
Through active participation in these sessions, Gfoundation strengthened cross-sector dialogue and reaffirmed our commitment to collaborative, people-centered solutions that connect local impact with global goals.

Our attendance at forums such as the ECOSOC Partnership Forum reflects our belief that meaningful change begins with people—and grows through partnership. Through cross-border and cross-sector collaboration, we ensure that community-based voices help shape global solutions.
