Although the Moroccan government recognizes the importance of education, lack of infrastructure and limited teacher training slow down meaningful progress.

In many parts of Morocco, girls are often expected to care for younger siblings or take on household chores at a very early age. While their brothers may be in school, these girls are learning to cook, clean, and care for others—leaving little time or opportunity for education.
For families struggling to afford even three meals a day, education can feel like a luxury, and books like a far-off dream.
