For single mothers working hard to care for their families, everyday household necessities can add up quickly. Items like toilet paper, cleaning supplies, food storage bags, and personal care products are used every day, but the cost of regularly replacing them can place additional pressure on a household budget.
This April, GFoundation prepared monthly support packages with practical household and personal care items for single-mother families participating in our program.
Practical Support for Everyday Family Life
This month’s packages focused on items that families can use in their daily routines.
The packages included various sizes of zip bags, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, large-size hair care products, and kimchi. By providing a mix of household, personal care, and food items, the monthly support aimed to help mothers meet some of their families’ everyday needs.
The packages were made possible in part through generous community support. Whole Foods Market donated a variety of essential household items prepared in different sets, while Costco provided gift cards that allowed GFoundation to purchase additional items based on the needs of participating mothers.
Welcoming a New Mother to the Program
April was also meaningful because we welcomed a new single mother into the program.
Her first experience with the program went beyond receiving a support package. She also joined us in preparing the packages, helping organize items for other participating families.
Afterward, she shared her heartfelt gratitude for the support she received. Her participation made this month’s preparation especially meaningful and reflected the sense of connection that can grow through a community of mutual care.
