Supporting Families During Critical Transitions
Earlier this spring, GFoundation visited Concourse House in the Bronx to learn more about the women and children they serve. Families with young children often have ongoing needs for baby clothing and basic hygiene items, which are essential during transitions into shelter care.
Initial Donation and Distribution
Following these conversations, GFoundation provided an initial donation of hygiene supplies, including:
- Diapers and baby wipes
- Shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body lotion
- A box of infant clothing for children under one year old
Baby clothing is especially time-sensitive: infants grow rapidly, and garments that fit one month may no longer fit the next. Through Concourse House’s clothing distribution events, the donated items were shared directly with residents, helping families meet daily needs while maintaining dignity and comfort.
