At Gfoundation, we believe every woman and child deserves not only safety, but the basic essentials that make daily life dignified and humane.
Yet across New York City, many shelters operate with limited resources. Critical hygiene needs—soap, toothpaste, menstrual products, diapers—often go unmet at the exact moment they matter most. These items may seem small, but their absence can deeply affect health, confidence, and a sense of self-worth.
That’s why we’re launching the Hygiene Kit for Women Shelter Program.
Each kit is carefully assembled with intention and care, providing essential hygiene items for one woman or child for up to a month. Beyond meeting physical needs, these kits help restore normalcy, comfort, and dignity during periods of uncertainty and transition.
The program begins through our partnership with Siena House in the Bronx and is designed to grow across all five boroughs—reaching more women and children who deserve compassionate support.

1. For Shelters Wanting to Participate
Shelters interested in receiving hygiene kits or partnering with Gfoundation can:
- Submit your application through our GF Program Application Form
- Receive confirmation submission from Gfoundation Staff Member
- Coordinate to have hygiene kits delivered or pick them up from our office
- Share your stories and experiences with the kits to strengthen and expand the initiative
2. For General Donors
