The Dream Library is nearly finished.
In a rural community in Madagascar, a new space for learning is about to open its doors. As of April 2, construction is in its final stage, with exterior painting and interior flooring now underway.
Soon, this building will become something more than just a structure.

Why Access to Books Still Matters
For many children in this community, access to books is extremely limited.
Most learning happens with shared textbooks. Storybooks are rare. Opportunities to explore ideas beyond the classroom are even rarer.
Without access to diverse reading materials, it becomes harder for children to develop language skills, curiosity, and confidence in learning.
Preparing the Next Step: Filling the Shelves
As construction nears completion, we are now preparing for the next critical step—bringing books into the library.
The shelves will be filled with:
- Locally purchased books in the native language
- Carefully selected second-hand books
- Stories that reflect children’s daily lives
- Books that introduce new ideas and perspectives
This balanced collection is designed to help children both relate to what they read and expand their understanding of the world.
