On April 5th, Gfoundation participated in the Missional Conference hosted by Pilgrim Mission Church, alongside our ambassador, photographer Shin Misik.

At the conference, He shared his personal journey and passion for humanitarian photography. He spoke about his time in Madagascar, where he encountered not only breathtaking landscapes but also the deep needs of communities lacking basic access to education, healthcare, and everyday essentials. With heartfelt stories and powerful visuals, he invited the audience to see Madagascar not just as a distant place, but as a part of our shared humanity.

To prepare for this moment, Gfoundation launched a month-long photo exhibition prior to the conference, featuring Shin Misik’s stunning images of Madagascar. The exhibition allowed visitors to witness the country’s beauty, dignity, and resilience—often hidden beneath the surface of poverty and isolation. It stirred curiosity, conversation, and most importantly, compassion.

In addition to the exhibit, limited-edition goods inspired by the artist’s work—postcards, eco-bags, and more—were made available at the conference. Every single dollar raised through these sales is being used to directly support Gfoundation’s ongoing projects in Madagascar.

One of our most impactful projects is the “Dreaming Library”. In collaboration with Shin Misik, Gfoundation has established five libraries across Africa, including in Madagascar. These are not just places to store books—they are vibrant hubs of learning, imagination, and hope. For children who have never held a storybook or had a quiet place to read, these libraries are life-changing. They are the first steps toward dreaming bigger and building a better future.

The Missional Conference was more than an event. The powerful message shared by Shin Misik moved hearts and inspired many to join hands with Gfoundation. Through this shared commitment, we are creating changes, giving children not only the tools to learn, but the courage to hope.

Gfoundation is honored to walk this journey with Shin Misik and with all who believe that every child deserves the chance to dream.
