Unfortunately, many people in America struggle to meet their basic needs, which increases their risk of food insecurity. Some of the primary causes of domestic hunger and food insecurity include poverty, unemployment, lack of affordable housing, and high healthcare costs. More than 34 million people, including 9 million children experience food insecurity in the United States.

Food Support for Children During Summer Vacation

Children in childcare facilities often miss out on celebrating special occasions due to financial constraints. Last December, GFoundation supported special meal expenses to five childcare facilities, benefiting around 175 children who received this heartwarming and special meal as a Christmas gift.
